Do I have to get down on the floor to use it?
Mostly, no. The bath rim, shower wall, tiled splashback, tap seams and hob are all done at standing height, and the extension tube adds reach for the low awkward spots like the toilet base. A shower tray or a floor still means bending toward it, and you still wipe the surface afterwards — it removes the scrubbing, not the whole job.
How hot does it get, and is that safe around the house?
The boiler heats water to about 110 °C. Steam leaves cooler than that at the nozzle, and cooler again through the extension tube — but it is still hot enough to scald, so keep it away from skin, let the attachments cool fully before swapping them, and don't point it at anyone. The cap locks while the boiler is under pressure.
How long does one fill last?
8–12 minutes of steam from a 250 ml fill, after about four minutes of heat-up. It has to cool before you refill it. It's a detail tool for the spots that actually look dirty, not a floor machine.
Does it kill germs?
Steam at this temperature does reduce bacteria on a hard surface — but only where it's held in place. Independent testing is clear that a quick pass doesn't do it; you need slow, direct contact on one spot. So we'd rather describe what it reliably does — loosen grease, grime, limescale and soap scum so they wipe away — than print a percentage on the box.
Do I need to buy anything for it?
