At just under 10 cm across and 48 cm tall, its narrow vertical form slips into the strip of wall beside a bed or a mirror where nothing else quite fits, and it barely projects into a hallway. What bulb does it take?

IT TAKES A STANDARD GU10 CAP BULB, SOLD EVERYWHERE IN THE UK. Choose an LED bulb for the longest life, and one marked dimmable if you plan to dim it.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. Pair it with a trailing-edge (LED-compatible) dimmer. Older rotary dimmers made for incandescent bulbs can cause flicker or buzzing.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, so it connects to the existing cable at your ceiling rose or wall point. That work should be done by a qualified electrician. A straight swap for an existing fitting is a routine job.
